The CDTV was made in the early 90's. It would have been the Americans' interpretation of the all-in-one multimedia appliance, much like what Phillips did in Europe with their CD-i.
Unfortunately for both Commodore and Philips, the expected market for multimedia appliances simply didn't appear.
Internally, the CDTV is the same as an Amiga 500.
